Carolina Panthers Training Facility
- Location: Rock Hill, South Carolina
- Year: 2021
- Tonnage: 8875 tons
This 240-acre site will host a 700,000 square foot superstructure, that will house year-round all the team’s football, administrative and business offices, along with an enclosed indoor field which is referred to as the Pavilion. This connects via a set of 90-foot wide and 80-foot tall operable glazed doors to the Park, an artificial surface field that has a capacity of up to 10,000, which serves as a multipurpose stadium capable of hosting a wide variety of public events with numerous seating options ranging from traditional bench seating on the west and casual terrace seating on the east.
The superstructure also includes the new Panthers HQ offices, outdoor practice fields, a premier orthopedics sports medicine facility, corporate offices, residential space and multiple retail stores. The entrance to the training facility is constructed with a series of canted glass walls, articulated metal panels and LED displays that are choreographed to captivate visitors upon entry, culminating at one of the building’s peaked rooflines which rises toward the southeast. The west lobby serves as the team entry and opens up to one of the commons area that serves as a social gathering space for café style dining, impromptu meetings and multi-purpose events – each offering the ability to enjoy expansive views of the surrounding landscape
